How to Write an e-Book in Efficient Way

In a previous post, how to make money selling e-books, I’ve discussed about how to choose a topic for an e-book.
Now that we have a great topic to write about we need to start writing it.

When people buy an e-book they don’t expect to get ten pages of 18px font size article. The buyer must get a good value for his money otherwise he will ask for a refund (which you should offer this option. I will discuses about this issue in a separate post).

To write a 100 pages e-book you need to use some of the technique that every noble’s writer is using.

The first thing is to define the e-book basic skeleton.
The best thing is to take the e-book topic and to list its chapters. The chapters list should create the following structure: the introduction of the problem, the solution and the implementation of it along with some maintenance advises for the future. Try to come up with at least 10-12 chapters.

Now that you have a list of chapters try to write few paragraph guidelines. It’s not the paragraph that the end user will read. It’s just some notes to help you later to write the paragraph content. When you are done leave it aside for at least one day. Than read it all from start and check if the order of the chapters and the paragraphs inside make a sense. You might come up with new paragraph notes or even new chapters. Repeat this process until you find the e-book skeleton satisfying.

So far we wrote the text that makes sense for us. We can understand its context mainly because the rest of the words are in our mind, complementing what was not written. At this step the text is missing the describing words.

Now we need to add the describing words. The words that will take the e-book’s skeleton to the next level, making it an e-book that people would like to buy.
Think about the last book that you read. Authors fill their text with describing words, making each paragraph content rich but yet making sure the user will not get lost. They have to make sure that they will not end up with 50 pages book. Authors lead the reader in the right tempo to the main idea of the book it’s a balance that you need to learn how to achieve. Most of us don’t have that skill but it’s definitely something that can be learned. The best practice is to write and revise. Each book that you see on the book store shelf was revised by the author and also by others. Its part of the process and you should not worry about it at all.
