2009 was a very interesting year in many aspects: The global economy crises, Google slaps, Yahoo & MSN joining forces, Twitter, Facebook, these are just a grain of 2009 interesting events.

I am known to be a positive guy. Some will even say a dreamer. I do enjoy my success but I do criticized my mistakes as needed (and trust me, I do lots of mistakes). Since every end it’s a start of something new, I find this time of the year a good time for self examination.

I am surrounded with good friends and business colleagues that together contribute to my success.  You can make money online solely, but you can make much better if you will develop the right structure around it: people, business connections and even (highly recommended) business partner.

The human nature likes rounded numbers. Its motivate us. We look after symbolic elements to support our difficulty.  Those who are getting married in 2010 probably try to set their date for 10/10/2010. Those who plan to bring a baby, probably doing their best these days.

But the truth is I do believe that there is a big chance that you will do much better than you did in 2009. And here are my 5 reasons:

1. Google domination in the online adverting will start to fade out in the next decade while Yahoo, Facebook, twitter and more none search services are about to enlarge their piece in this cake.
2. Bing popularity will increase. Business agreements like HP/Microsoft to make Bing the default search engine in new computers are just the start in this interesting battle. It will not be the same as with Netscape, but do not underestimate Microsoft tactics.
3. The mobile advertising market will continue to rapidly grow.
4. Thanks to YouTube and other rich media channels, affiliate marketers are now more exposed to quality information. Conventions are now available online, taking out the boundaries than ever before.
5. The way people search on the web has to be change: Most of the people use three words and more in a search query, and still the search results are relatively poor to what you would expect.

Would you believe it?

This guy seems to know a lot about SEO but when it comes to internet marketing he has a lot to catch up.

At the bottom line I offered him my help. I will help him to make more money with his Blog.
A discloser: I am note doing it for free. We agreed to share the profits. A win win situation.

The first thing that I’ve offered him is to drop Google AdSense completely.
Why? Because of many reasons:

He owns a niche Blog. The traffic that he gets comes from variety of keywords. Some of the keywords describe different problems that the visitor seeks for it a solution.
In some of the cases the visitor gets what he looked for free of charge. The answer is within the post, which is great. Even so, still there is a place to offer products related to the visitor search term.

By taking a brief look on his Analytics report I could see the financial potential of his Blog. He did a good job with the content but now its time to convert it to money.

I don’t reveal his name or his Blog URL because he asked me not to do so.
In the following days I will do a deep research on his analytics report in order to find the most suitable products for his Blog.

I offered him to use WordPress Affiliate Elite. He has lots of posts that he published on his Blog during the years. He agreed to try it knowing that with WordPress Affiliate Elite it will be easy to embed the affiliate links among the huge amount of his posts.

We will try different products until we will find the products that convert the best.
I am sure that within few weeks he will make much more than $70 a month.

I have a feeling that he is not the only one with this situation – having a Blog with a nice amount of traffic but with very low income. Google AdSense is a great way to earn money with Blogs, but if you own a niche Blog, more likely that with the right products you can earn much better.

You might find some niche in your territory that converts well, but the potential is much bigger in the areas that you do not know at all – simply because those areas are wider,

Keep trying and trying until you will find the pretzel to sell to those who are getting out from the theater. With a success no one is argue: people are keep buying pretzel night after night and more and more pretzel guys are joining this circle.
