I don’t know how many of you had the chance to watch the introduction video of Google Wave.
I strongly advise you to watch it. If you have a creative affiliate mind, I am sure you will know what to do with it. And if Google Wave will be a hit as some people predict, it could be your next source of traffic.

Try to think few steps ahead. Think what you could do with Twitter if you were the first to use their service.

As part of their ongoing improvements, ClickBank came out with a new look to their website. The traditional blue/gray color scheme has been replaced with a red/brown.
There is nothing new within the interface but there are some talked that ClickBank is going to upgrade their interface within the next few months.

In addition ClickBank now offer a new tool called HopLink Shield.
HopLink Shield is a free tool that encrypts the affiliate and vendor nicknames in HopLinks.
Now your affiliate link can look like this: http://2de14oqj69s7oq8dml2ppljxff.hop.clickbank.net hiding both your affiliate link and the vendor nickname.

This can be very helpful to those who can’t cloak their affiliate link due to a technical problem with their hosting server or are to lazy to do so

In my opinion its one of the applications that you should install on your IPhone, especially if you are an Azoogle affiliates. If you are not (yet) Azoogle affiliate, their iMobilePublisher is a good reason to start working with them.

Azoogle, for those of you who are not familiar with, is one of the largest CPA network if not the biggest one.

I’ve included some screenshots of the iMobilePublisher application as it can be seen on my IPhone.

The iMobilePublisher has a pretty simple interface. At the opening you get to see a brief summary of your leads/sales. You have the option to navigate through your account and to check how your campaigns are performing. You also have the option to check your payments reports.

It’s a great way to track your account when you don’t have access to a computer.

Currently the iMobilePublisher is in its beta stage.
I understood that Azoogle plan to officially launch the iMobilePublisher at the Affiliate Summit West 2009 in Vegas. As last year, Azoogle is a Platinum Sponsor of Affiliate Summit West 2009.
Although the iMobilePublisher is in its beta stage, I didn’t find significant bugs. Beside few times that the top menu did not show up expectably, the iMobilePublisher application works fast and smooth. To be honest, I like Azoogle iMobilePublisher IPhone application much more than I like their website interface

In the last year Aweber introduced a new analytics tool. It a nice tool for those who would like to take more out of their lists.

I am sure that Aweber will continue to develop their system and to come with more new features. Allow me to share with you my Aweber wish list for their 11th year of service.
My wish list is very short. Only two features that I am sure lots of my colleague will be very happy to use:

To receive the user data in the confirmation success page
The first one is very fundamental. Unfortunately in spite of many request from many more Aweber users this feature is not supported yet. As for now, Aweber allow you to get the user data in what so called the “thank you page”. It’s the page where the user is been direct after he entered his details, including his email address. At that point the user was not confirmed as a valid user. Aweber encourage the use of double opt-in. That means that a confirmation email will been sent to the user with a special link that he need to click on. By clicking this link Aweber confirms the user email address. After the user click on this link the user is been direct to a page of your choice. Unfortunately to that page Aweber does not send the user data.

As a result, if you would like to integrate Aweber in your system and to respond only to verified users, you can not do that!
Given the fact that Aweber encourage the use of double opt-in I find this lack very odd.

Aweber API
Yes, we all would be very happy if Aweber will give us an API to work with.
An API (Application Program Interface) will help to automate some of the actions that most of us doing by hand: Importing new users from other systems, removing users from a list, etc.  An API will give us more creative ways to integrate Aweber in our systems. It will allow creating more creative ways to add new subscribers.

This is not a review post about the new version of FireFox 3. I am going to share with you two solutions to two things with FireFox 3 that I found very annoying.

The first one is the URL bar. In FireFox 3 the URL bar behave differently. When you start to type a URL you get a list of close matched URLs. It’s based on the page title and the URL address. Ultimately you get more results. It’s changed the way I browse. I am sure that many will find the new URL bar incontinent. I tried to get used to it but with no luck. I looked around and found an add-on named OldBar. At first I was very surprised to see that there is already an add-on with that name. But… I can understand why people rushed to develop this add-on. After you will install it you will have the benefit of the new FireFox 3 and the old URL bar behavior.

Another thing that I found annoying is the fact that in a full screen mode the URL bar disappears. It gives you more browsing space but you can’t work with tabs or to change the URL without the need to expose it first.
The solution for this is easier. You don’t need to install anything. In the URL bar click “about:config”. This will give you access to FireFox parameters list. Look for “browser.fullscreen.autohide” and set it to false by double-clicks on it. Change the “browser.fullscreen.animateUp” to 0 and you are done.

Now you can enjoy FireFox 3 in the old way
