Affiliate Summit East 2008

These days most of my colleagues can be found at the Affiliate Summit East in Boston.
I had other obligations so I could not attend this time.
However, I do get a live report from some of them about what is going on. Actually they try to tease me pointing the fact that I am not there while they are having a hell of a time in Boston.

Well, I am sure that if you are reading other affiliate marketers Blogs you will find covers stories about this event. In most of the cases you will hear people describing how well they are doing jumping from one party to the other.
My buddy John Hasson, who already gave his speak at the Affiliate Summit, keep updates his Blog with some videos from the Affiliate Summit in Boston.

I would like to save you some of the frustration that you might feel when you read about the good time that these guys are doing.

If you are a beginner affiliate marketer and considering attending to such event just “to fun” then you better stay at home, save time and money, and keep learn how to start your way as an affiliate marketer by reading stuff of the web. For a beginner, the Affiliate Summit can be very useful if, and only if, you take it seriously. Participate in all the sessions. Actually you can’t participate in all of them because at the same time there are more then one session. Befriend with the other attended. Get connected and learn from the people around you. This is not fun! This is work, and you should treat it like that.

If you are a veteran affiliate marketer, and would like to charge your batteries then the Affiliate Summit is for you also :)
Actually this is the main reason that I am attending at this kind of events.
While most of the time you chat with your college, with some of them you even speak on the phone occasionally, most of the time you do business with them without knowing them in person. These events are the perfect place to meet your colleague in person.

Don’t get me wrong, Missy Ward and Shawn Collins, the people behind this great event, doing a great job to make sure that you will keep attending at the Affiliate Summit event after event no matter if you are a beginner affiliate marketer or veteran ;)

I am waiting that they will upload some of the sessions to the web, assuming that they are been recorded. They usually do so.
